File viewers
DXF Viewer
Drop in a DXF and read the drawing straight away - pan, zoom and fit to frame it. The file is opened on your device and never uploaded.
Scroll to zoom · drag to pan
How it works
The viewer reads the DXF entities - lines, polylines, arcs, circles, points and text - and draws them to scale on a canvas in your browser. Because nothing is sent to a server, even confidential site drawings stay on your machine. Scroll or use the buttons to zoom, drag to pan, and press Fit to frame the whole drawing. It reads ASCII DXF from AutoCAD, RoomPlot, QCAD, LibreCAD and most CAD packages.
Frequently asked questions
How do I open a DXF file without AutoCAD?
Drag the .dxf onto this page. It renders the drawing in the browser - lines, polylines, arcs, circles and text - with pan, zoom and fit. There is nothing to install, and the file is never uploaded to a server.
Which DXF files does the viewer support?
ASCII (text) DXF covering 2D entities: LINE, LWPOLYLINE, POLYLINE, ARC, CIRCLE, POINT and TEXT, on any layer. Binary DXF and full 3D solids are not drawn - re-export as ASCII DXF (the default in most CAD tools) if a file will not open.
